Masami Mizuno
Coppersmith
Masami Mizuno works as an independent copperware craftsman in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. He makes every single item by hand, from flat sheet metal to the finished volume.
During his studies, Masami Mizuno began to take an interest in metalworking and was able to learn a great deal from the famous metal artist Takejirō Hasegawa and the master’s wife, Mami Hasegawa, herself a metal artist. In the famous Gyokusendo workshop in Niigata, he was allowed to spend a few days looking over the shoulders of the masters there. He then taught himself skills in working copper and brass. Because of his own passion for cooking, he mainly produces kitchenware and tableware. The design is entirely by Masami Mizuno himself.
